Important note
With the update 1.3 the new API from eBay was released. Some old products are no longer updatable with the new API, because the internal ID at eBay has changed. So if products are not updated (recognizable by the old URL *rover.ebay.com*) the product must be imported again.
With this interface most of the eBay products are available.
Settings
First you have to make certain settings in order to connect to eBay.
App, Cert and Dev ID (Version 1.3 and up)
To get an App-ID you have to work through the following steps:
- Register in the Developer Centrer Developer Center
- Login and open the dashboard
- Fill in Application Title (e.g. Affiliate Theme)
- Production: Create a keyset
- Copy App, Cert and Dev-ID and paste in the settings
Campaign ID
In order to associate the sales with your account, you have to enter the Campaign ID. Follow these steps:
- Register/Login to eBay partner network
- Open dashboard
- Open the tab Campaigns
- You may have to create a new Campaign-ID, otherwise enter the Campaign ID in the settings
Custom Tracking ID
Can be used to better evaluate the tracking. It is possible to deposit an own tracking ID for any installation, in order to see from which website the traffic is coming.
Product status
With this option you can determine, with which status new imported products should be defined. You can import, for example, new products as drafts and edit them, before they are publicly visible. Alternatively you can publish them immediately.
Description
You can globally determine, whether the product description should also be imported or not. While importing single products, you will still have the option to decide, whether you want the description to be imported or not. This is only the global value.
Search
In this tab you can search for products via the API. Use a keyword for the search. The more accurate you define the keyword, the better the search result will be. You have the option to search in all available partner programs (shop) and categories, or to filter for exact these criteria.
Import procedure
After the search is finished, the import follows. You can either import the desired products via the Single-Import-Button (small “plus-character” on the right side) or via the mass import. The mass import works through the checking of the respective product and the button “Import selected products”.
In addition you have the Quick-Import (small bolt beside the “plus-character), which publishes your product-posts automatically and adopts all the information unchanged from eBay. The information can still be edited of course, as well as with the other two import-options.
API Log
In the API log every events (import, updates, etc.) are recorded. This lets you track any particular event. The log only shows the last 200 entries. If it gets too confusing, you can delete the log manually.
Registration for Marketplace Account Deletion
From August 31, 2021 you must register for the Marketplace Account Deletion. Starting with version 1.4 this is possible with our plugin.
Log in to the Developer Center and open the Alerts & Notifications. There you have to add the following data under the item “Marketplace Account Deletion”:
- Marketplace account deletion notification endpoint
- Verification token
You can find this data in your installation under Import > eBay.
After you have saved the data under Alerts & Notifications, a validation will be performed. If this was successful, everything is done.
